Thank you for your interest in playing for Saratoga Youth Hockey. Once you click on the link, please take the time to read all of the information. There is also a new page with uniform information. After purchasing the upgraded Uniform Package last season, players have the opportunity to only replace worn out items or to purchase an entire new package for this season. You must fill out that section of the registration.
Another change this season is related to DIBS. Instead of requesting checks to cover DIBS at the beginning of the season, it has been built into the registration process. This will allow for you to make that deposit, and for the Treasurer to refund you the DIBS amount once they are complete.
We have received notice there are some intermittent registration issues. We are aware and actively working on getting them fixed.
Thank you again and please feel free to reach out with questions.
Program runs for July 8 through August 22, 2019.
Here's what included:
Two weekly ice sheets for each of these groups (10u, 12u & 14u) with 1hr/20min on ice. We are looking at 20-25 mins of warm ups and practice followed by 55-60 mins of small area games and/or scrimmage. This summer these groups will enjoy almost 20 hrs of on ice and will play hockey.
8u & 16u will receive one weekly slot following the same routine.
NOTICE ON REGISTRATION: CHANGES FOR 2018-19 SEASON:
Please be aware that the Registration Policy of SYHI for the 2018-19 season has been revised. We are setting limits on the number of players we will register in several of our levels. First priority will be afforded to returning SYHI players based upon seniority of time spent with the Association. Depending on number of registrants in specific levels, some may be placed on a waiting list. Notification will be provided if necessary. Deadline for registration consideration for returning players, as well as jersey order deadline is August 24, 2018. When any level has reached its maximum number of players, the website will reflect that level as "CLOSED".
Also note, the season registration will close (for all), Friday September 7 @ 11:59PM.
If you have an existing account for you or your player, you will be available to register without re-entering all information.
If you do not have an account, you will need to sign up today. Simply click on the Sign-Up link at the bottom of the registration form.
You will need to register your player(s) with USA Hockey for the 2018-19 Season to complete our registration process. Click on the USA Hockey hyperlink on the registration form to register your player(s). Registrations are only valid for 1 season and are required for the new season. Print a copy of the barcode receipt.
The registration form will require you to complete medical history and emergency contact forms, so please have that info on hand when beginning the process.
When checking out, you will have the choice of paying: in full, or in four installments with a deposit required now. This deposit is to cover the costs of game jerseys and a pair of game socks.
Please remember all members are eligible to apply for the Mark Woodcock Scholarship application located on the website. If you wish to apply, select that option on the registration form and complete that registration page. Scholarships will be offered in the amount equivalent to 25%, 50% or 75% of the registration fee(s). New this season: scholarships will not be offered to goalies (as they already receive a 50% discount). The board will consider exceptions to this rule on a case by case scenario. Please note on the application if you wish to receive any variance to the standard scholarship program described above.
We have added the following documents on our Forms & Handout page on the website for additional information to review prior to registering.
• 2018-19 Fee Structure
• ADM Concepts adopted by the SYHI Board for our Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, and Mites.
A few final notes:
• We continue to work with the city in finalizing our ice schedule for the upcoming season. Once it is finalized we will send an email intended to give parents and idea, in advance, of a general idea of when practices will start, and end, for each level.
• USA Hockey now requires us to collect a copy of each player’s birth certificate. They will be sent to our USA Hockey registrar who will verify the document and return them. This is a onetime requirement – once your player’s age has been verified, they will be in the system as verified.
Any player who submitted their birth certificate for review over the past few years should not have to complete this step. We will work with team managers in the fall to complete this process.
If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact Frank Ovitt at email@example.com.
