SYHI elections will take place in March and the new position will begin in April 2013 for a 3 year term.  If you would like to get more involved with continuing to make SYHI the best Tier II Association in the Capital District, please fill out the Board Member Application above (also found on Forms tab) and email it to SYHI President, Jeff Vukelic at jeff.vukelic@saratogaeagle.com.

On January 30^th 2013 the Saratoga Springs High School Varsity Ice Hockey Team will be playing cross town rival Shenendehowa at home in Weibel rink.  This game typically matters when it comes to the Section II playoff seeding and rarely needs additional energy to fuel a great night of hockey. However, this year we want to utilize the existing energy to create an even more exciting night by “Whiting Out Weibel” to raise money for the American Cancer Society through their Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.

Not only do we hope to sell out Wiebel, we hope to sell a white t-shirt commemorating the event to everyone in attendance thus Whiting Out Weibel.

The t-shirt sales will be a major contributor to our fund raising effort and we certainly hope you can all join us and participate but we also have several other fund raising opportunities list below.  White Out Weibel T-shirts will go on sale the second week of January in the High School cafeteria, the High School DECA store, Weibel rink lobby and Walton’s.  Supplies will be limited the night of the event so we encourage you to by your t-shirt beforehand.  The first 300 shirts sold will be bundled with a Togahack vs. Cancer “Livestrong” like band.

White Out Weibel Sponsorship Levels:

• Presenting Sponsor (1) - $1000
  • Recognition on the event Program Cover, Recognition on the ”White Out” shirt and Recognition on Ice At Start of the Game and Recognition at the Check Presentation
• Tee Shirt Sponsor (up to 5) - $500
  • Recognition on White Out Shirt and Event Program 
• Event  Sponsor (unlimited) - $200
  • Recognition in the event program
• Power Play Matching Donor* (unlimited) - $100 cap
  • Recognition game night at presentation of power play funds
• Patron (unlimited) - $25
  • Includes White Out T-Shirt and Recognition in event program

*Power Play Fund Raiser – In Between periods 1&2 the SSHS cheerleaders will be racing against the 1:30 Power Play clock passing a collection jar through the stands to raise money for this great cause.
