Saratoga Youth Hockey Members and Families,
I am incredibly excited to officially announce and begin my first term as President of SYHI, replacing the leadership of our amazing outgoing President, Jeff Yule. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jeff for all of his hard work and dedication to the organization these past years. I will continue to utilize his knowledge generously passed down to me in order to successfully transition into our next great 2017-2018 season. As incoming President, my goal is to promote the value of our community-based hockey program, which is dedicated to providing all ages of youth participants with the opportunity to experience the great game of hockey while continuing to strengthen skill, development, teamwork, sportsmanship and FUN! Assisting me in achieving this goal is a Board powered 100% by volunteer SYHI members. Each board member brings a diversity of thought, talent and passion to the organization (http://www.syhi.org/page/show/522193-syhi-board-of-directors). I am honored to lead and work with such an amazing team. Nothing we do would be possible without a strong community of people passionate enough to volunteer for SYHI, especially our dedicated and enthusiastic Coaches who offer up their time and talents benefitting the youth of SYHI.
There are so many who have helped make SYHI what it is today and, for that, I thank you. I hope we can continue to carry that torch and serve the evolving needs of our youth into the next exciting 2017-2018 season. I look forward to serving as your new SYHI President.

Here are a couple of helpful documents to review and share with your player(s).
The first, provided by renown local skating expert Dave Randall, is a series of off ice exercises that can and should be done at home. This form also contains info on skate sharpening and what skates/blades he recommends.
The second document is provided by Tim Grande who is currently serving as assistant coach to our 16U Elite Wrap team. This document provides info on what to eat and drink after competition. This info is especially helpful for tournaments or days with multiple games.
